Pakedge Zones™

Pakedge Zones™ are pre-configured VLANs (virtual local area networks) that separate network traffic into six easily identifiable zones: management, voice, audio/video, automation, data, and guest. Each zone (type of network traffic) is given its own “lane” and level of priority, ensuring that latency-sensitive traffic—such as streaming media and VoIP—is prioritized above less-sensitive traffic for optimal performance.

Zone Bonding for Multicast Routing

Pakedge routers incorporate Pakedge Zone Bonding, simplified multicast routing that allows smart devices that utilize multicast traffic, such as smartphones, security cameras, and video streaming, to communicate across Pakedge Zones (VLANs). By enabling Zone Bonding, you get the benefits of traffic segmentation while minimizing the complexity of configuring multicast routing.

Intelligent Traffic Management
